Destination Wedding Sicily the hottest wedding ever

Finally Im back from an amazing wedding in Sicily and my hottest wedding ever. Photographing in 39 degrees , 102f is a task in itself. But wow what a wedding what a venue Castle Xirumi Serravalle is an amazing 16th century building , the original property of the famous Grimaldi family , guests driving from Messina and Toarmina driving through the Sicilian countryside were struck by how beautiful this wedding venue looks. Emma and Turi fell in love with the venue, as did I and all the wedding guests . There will be more wedding photos to follow but I thought a montage would be good to show first.

Wedding at Trafalgar Park

Liz and Jez couldnt of found a better place to have their wedding Trafalgar Park, it was a perfect venue for them. Im positive Liz must of co ordinated that . They graced Trafalgar Park . The house was renamed “Trafalgar” when given to the brother of Admiral Nelson after his death in 1805 to commemorate the great battle . Earl Nelsons lived at Trafalgar Park until 1948 when the house was sold. Jez didnt decorate with ships though Planes directed guests to their tables a great idea.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Hyde Park is a luxury hotel located opposite overlooking London’s Hyde Park situated on Kensington High Street , has views over the charming mews houses the hotel offers complete wedding planning service and organisation . So Faisel and Dalia chose a perfect London wedding venue for their wedding , slowly strolling around Hyde Park was a perfect way to relax before their wedding. The hotel lends itself for perfect backdrop for wedding photography …. and I can not mention those incredible deserts Faisel and Dalia had at their wedding breakfast , more photos soon.

So proud of my niece Hannah she has been modeling for a year now gracing the runways of New York, London , Milan and Paris . She just did a couture show for Georges Chakra in Paris modeling this incredible 50’s Hollywood inspired wedding dress . The fall-winter 2011 haute couture show from Georges Chakra. Followers of my blog here will know my niece Hannah is now modeling with Storm and Marilyns models. Hannah had walked for Georges Chakra in New York and now in Paris she just opened the show and closed the show .

This week its about weddings and wakeboards. Weddings in London and a destination wedding in Sicily and also my son Nick has the national wakeboard championships coming up in a couple of weeks then leaving to go to a wakeboard college , last night in Nicks words it was a ‘ big shred session ‘ . Nick is a big Liquid Force fan boots and boards , last night it really was a great summer night on the lake. .

This past weekend I was in the heart of England York , photographing the wonderful wedding of Jason and Helen.
York Minster Gothic Cathedral is the largest gothic styled cathedral in Europe and easily one of the world’s most impressive cathedrals with detailed statues , stained glass , gothic carvings in the Chapter House and an incredible choir.
The wedding reception at one of the UK’s finest stately homes Castle Howard near York built in 1699. Famous from the BBC’s Brideshead Revisted . An overwhelming feeling of magnificence engulfs you, as you get closer to the house, sat in extensive grounds containing temples, lakes, stables, courtyards, fountains and rose gardens , Castle Howard is as impressive inside as it is outside.

Garden weddings will not get better than this, Axelvold, the home of Claus Wachtmeister. With the backdrop of a splendid 19th century house, the gardens fall away to the north and south many hundreds of yards, forming architectural vistas bordered by hornbeam hedges. Roses and peonies flowered all over the garden. Some of the roses were over 100 years old . Drinks were served garden in a charming garden trellis beautifully designed opening up over the garden. This really was a perfect country house wedding.
